WestCare Wound Care Clinic is a service department of WestCare Health System and offers a comprehensive wound management approach to healing through inpatient and outpatient services. The clinic's staff sees between 100-120 patients per week who travel from across the region to receive care.

Treatments offered include:

  • Burns
  • Lacerations
  • Acute or chronic wounds
  • Vascular ulcers and wounds complicated by diabetes
  • Nail and callous debridement
  • Ostomy care
  • Compression therapy
  • Infection-control
  • Patient education concerning procedures, both pre-operative and post-operative
  • Preventative diabetic foot care
  • Preventative measures to preclude recurrence of wounds
  • Prevention of amputation

 

WestCare's Wound Care Clinic is located on the campus of Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva.
