 Harris Regional Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy
Monday-Friday 6:30am-11pm Saturday-Sunday 7:30am-6pm (828) 586-7150
The pharmacy department experienced a complete renovation in the summer of 2006 that included the addition of automation programs like McKesson Meds Manager, AcuDose drug dispensing cabinets, and Narc Station. This system electronically monitors all transactions, thereby reducing the possibility for medication errors. The technology allows the pharmacy to streamline distribution activities within the hospital. This, in turn, allows our pharmacists to be an essential part of the healthcare team. Patient oriented pharmacy services include:
- Clinical Practice
- Medication distribution activities
- Monitoring patient medication therapy
- Medication orders
- Closed-door retail pharmacy (Spring 2007)
|
- Medication order management
- Pharmacokinetics, nutritional support
- Supervise distribution functions
- Outpatient Infusion Center (Oncology Patients)
