Our Imaging Departments offer a full range of diagnostic imaging services for inpatients, outpatients, emergency and surgical patients.

The Department is directed by a team of Board-Certified Radiologists and a staff of highly trained imaging technologists who perform approximately 32,000 procedures a year.

All of our technologists are registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent and receive advanced certification in mammography.

Services provided by the WestCare Imaging Services Department include:

  • Computerized Tomography (CT) with state-of-the-art spiral-scan capabilities
  • Diagnostic Radiology
  • Digital Fluoroscopy
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Mammography
  • Mobile Mammography
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology and Intervention Procedures
  • Ultrasound and Doppler

 

A wide range of studies and procedures are preformed with these modalities, including:

  • Angiography
  • CT-guided Biopsy
  • Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

 

Imaging procedures are offered at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva and Swain County Hospital in Bryson City. Additionally, some radiologic procedures are performed at the WestCare Medical Park of Franklin.
