About Your Room

Your Hospital Bed

Hospital beds are electronically operated, and your nurse will show you how to work your bed properly. Your hospital bed is probably higher and narrower than your bed at home. Bedside rails are for your protection. They may be raised at night or during the day if you're resting, recovering from surgery or taking certain medications.

Calling Your Nurse

A button to call your nurse is located on the console of your bed. A nurse will show you how to operate this call button

Room Temperature

Your room includes individual controls on the wall for heat and air conditioning. If your room temperature is not comfortable, feel free to adjust the setting, or notify the nursing staff.

Television

Color television sets are provided free of charge in each room. Please be considerate of other patients by playing TV sets softly and by turning off your set at bedtime. TV controls are located on the console of your bed. See the Guide To Patient and Visitor Services located in your room for a listing of available channels.
