Teresa Reynolds has a 31-year career in administration that includes serving as hospital administrator for 8 years at WellStar Douglas Hospital and Chief Nursing Officer. Later returning to WellStar Kennestone Hospital as Director for Medical-Surgical Nursing, responsible for over 300 inpatient Medical surgical beds, outpatient indigent clinic and interim director for Clinical Nursing Informatics.  Reynolds joined the staff at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga., one of five hospitals in the Wellstar Health Care System, in 1977. Over the years, she was promoted to various positions, ending as Director for Strategic Nursing Operations and Director of Clinical Nursing Informatics for Wellstar, along with serving as interim executive director of inpatient surgical nursing at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Kennesaw State University in Marietta and earned a Master of Science degree in Health Administration at Central Michigan University in 2000. Reynolds served as interim director of nursing informatics at Haywood in October then assumed the role of interim VP in October. She was appointed vice president of operations on Jan. 29, 2009, before being named COO for MedWest in February 2010.


Dwayne Hooks

Dwayne Hooks has dedicated the majority of his nursing career to serving patients in critical care and post-acute environments. His experience includes neonatal intensive care nursing, director of nursing for a 150-bed nursing facility, corporate nurse consultant, executive director of assisted living facilities, administrator, corporate regional manager, director of a large healthcare system’s sub-acute care program, and clinical operations/administrative consultant. Hooks completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1990 and his Master of Nursing Degree in 2002 from the Medical College of Georgia. He is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner and is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is pursuing his doctorate degree through the University of Kansas. He was named chief clinical officer for MedWest Health System in February 2010. He served as vice president of clinical operations and chief nursing officer for Haywood Regional Medical Center from June 2009 until his appointment with MedWest. Hooks is originally from Augusta, Ga. He has a son, Zach.


Steve Heatherly

Steve Heatherly, CEO for MedWest Physician Network, served as WestCare's Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer since 2007.  Prior to his most recent role at WestCare, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of a Neurosurgery physician organization and its related businesses.  Heatherly worked at WestCare from 1997 to 2005, serving as the President & CEO of the organization's management service organization and, from 2001-2005, as Chief Financial Officer. Heatherly holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina-Asheville, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Western Carolina University and a Master's Degree in Health Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association and a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the Medical Group Management Association.

Luanna Easton, Vice President of Quality for MedWest Health System, has been with WestCare for almost 25 years, starting in radiology and more recently as vice president of performance improvement, responsible for the system’s quality measures.

Janet W. Millsaps, Chief Human Resources Officer for MedWest Health System, served as WestCare's Vice President for Staff Services since 2006. Prior to her most recent role at WestCare she has also served as Director of Staff Services, Director of Educational Services and Community Health Resource Center Coordinator. Janet holds an BSED degree in Health and Physical Education (grades k-12), Early Childhood Teaching Certification Completion, from Western Carolina University and a MPA, Master's Degree in Public Affairs from Western Carolina University. She is certified as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources in the Society of Human Resource Management.


Greg Copen

Greg Copen has more than 20 years of experience in the information technology field. He is a graduate of Mountain State University with a degree in organization leadership, management and development. He also holds a degree in business computer programming from Forsyth Technical Community College. Copen began his career in manufacturing and transitioned to the healthcare industry as the IT Director for an HCA hospital in 1998. Prior to his CIO role at Medwest, he served as Director of IT for Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va., an affiliate of Mountain States Health Alliance. His experience includes software system conversions and implementations. He has redesigned and developed new technology infrastructures for existing and newly built hospitals.
